American Red Cross is set to host a community blood drive at Chautauqua Mall, Chautauqua County’s family friendly regional shopping mall. The humanitarian organization has a significant blood shortage and is issuing an emergency request for eligible blood and platelet donors of all blood types to roll up a sleeve and help save lives. Donors will give hope to patients in the community, including accident victims, heart surgery patients and those receiving treatment for leukemia, cancer or sickle cell disease.
Make an appointment to give blood (August 12th, 1 p.m. – 6 p.m., in the mall parking lot facing Mall Boulevard.) at Chautauqua Mall or by downloading the Blood Donor App, visiting redcrossblood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS. There will also be an on-site registration station for walk-ins at the main entrance of the mall across from Old Navy.
