Jamestown Community College, the Manufacturers Association of the Southern Tier, and Dream It Do It Western New York will sponsor screenings of American Made in Jamestown and Olean in February.
The screenings, free and open to the public, both begin at 7 p.m. on February 2 in Cutco Theatre on JCC’s Cattaraugus County Campus and on February 4 in Scharmann Theatre on the Jamestown Campus.
The documentary explores the impact of American manufacturing on both ordinary citizens and the national economy. Through the stories of innovative entrepreneurs and businesses who are making things in the U.S. while successfully competing in the global economy, the film examines both the positive ripple effect that comes from domestic manufacturing jobs as well as the hurdles associated with bringing those jobs back.
