ALSTAR EMS and Starflight in conjunction with the National Association of Air Medical Communication Specialists (NAACS) sponsored a NAACS Certified Flight Communicator Training Course at the ALSTAR EMS Training Center on Monday March 7th and Tuesday March 8th.

Members of the NAACS Board of Directors educated the students on topics related to Air Medical Communications. This two day course covered in-depth subjects including the History of Air Medical Transport, Navigational Skills, Map Reading Skills, Post Accident/Incident Planning and Stress Management to name a few.

Upon completion of the course and exam, every student became a NAACS Certified Flight Communicator. Every ALSTAR EMS and Starflight employee working in or directly with MedCom are NAACS Certified Flight Communicators which ensures only the most highly trained support staff are behind every Starflight transport.
