Allen Street Grocery and Deli Mart

The Downtown Convenience Store Corp., owner Neil Patel, recently celebrated the opening of the Allen Street Grocery and Deli Mart on the corner of Allen and Winsor Streets in the City of Jamestown. The 4,200-square-foot store is located in the former 7-11 location at 340 Allen Street and is open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. with a complete menu.
A full-service convenience store, the Allen Street Grocery is a comprehensive shopping location complete with a frozen food section, dairy case, fresh produce, a large beverage cooler, soda fountain, coffee, and health and beauty items. A major highlight within the store is the deli counter. There the Allen Street Grocery serves hot foods such as pizza, wings, chicken fingers, and soups. Summertime favorites include subs, wraps, and a variety of sides and finger foods. The staff will also slice deli meats and cheeses to order.
“We were attracted to this store because of the ‘mom and pop’ feel of the location and the proximity to a neighborhood that was in much need of a close-by convenience store within walking distance,” Mr. Patel stated.
“We are thrilled to have the new Allen Street Grocery and Deli Mart in an area that was previously underserved for grocery and convenience types of items. The people on the southeast side now have a place to walk or quickly drive to get important items. Having a well-run store in that location adds to the quality of life for the neighborhood on that side of town,” Mayor Sam Teresi said.
The Allen Street Grocery and Deli Mart employs three full-time and four part-time workers.
