70’s Disco Party and Cash Raffle Slated to Raise Money for Community Helping Hands

Are you ready to boogie and shake your groove thing? Community Helping Hands is excited to host a 70’s Disco Party and Cash Raffle at Chautauqua Suites in Mayville on Saturday, March 9 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The fundraiser, which follows 2018’s inaugural 80’s decade themed event, boasts DJ dance music and photo booth provided by Giulia Giuffre of Star Sirch Productions, disco dance instruction by Laura Cimino of Guys and Dolls Dance Studio, three $250 cash jackpots, $350 in costume contest prizes, buffet dinner and a basket raffle. Tickets are $50 per person.
Community Helping Hands in Jamestown is a not-for-profit organization providing emergency assistance to local families in need and offers a youth/family center with a variety of activities in operation since 2001. Proceeds from the event will help Community Helping Hands provide a hand up to our community when they need it the most.
“We are so excited to bring back another decade-themed fund raiser to our local area,” said Jade Kingsbury, Community Helping Hands board secretary and event organizer. “Last year we raised over $10,000 to assist Community Helping Hands with their ongoing mission and we’d like to thank the local community members for their continued support.”
Media One Group (WWSE/WJTN/WHUG/WKSN/WQFX) is serving as the major media sponsor for this event. Other key event sponsors and donors to date include Chautauqua Suites Meeting and Expo Center, Christ First, Star Sirch Productions, Guys and Dolls Dance Studio, Eventz by Scott, Fresh Press Studios, Aces Up Construction and Lakewood Rod and Gun.
Community Helping Hands is actively seeking additional sponsors and accepting donations to help defray the cost of organizing this event.
