Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care (CHPC) is proud to announce the return of in-person bidding for its 6th Annual Butterfly Art and Charity Auction. The event, which includes a buffet dinner, will be held on September 16th at the Chautauqua Suites in Mayville, NY. The public is invited to attend this exceptional event and fundraiser.

Each year students from across Chautauqua County generate numerous creative and personal works which are then donated for the auction. Butterflies are the consistent theme, but every student artist brings their own creative lens to the project. The result is a collection of one-of-a-kind artistic pieces for observers to enjoy.

“It is such a privilege to see all the student artwork that comes in, knowing how much effort went into every piece,” says Mike Testa, president and CEO of CHPC. “Just as butterflies symbolize change, students experience intense changes during this formative time of their lives–transformations which in some ways parallel and echo those our patients and caregivers experience.”

This year’s auction will feature butterfly art from schools across Chautauqua County representing more than 100 students. In addition to these works, area businesses and CHPC supporters have donated items for the auction including sports jerseys, musical instruments, and more. Attendees can also participate in a basket raffle and enjoy a buffet dinner catered by Chautauqua Suites.

Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care wishes to acknowledge the sponsors whose generous support will make this event a success: Hanson Financial, Cummins Engine, B.E. Strong, Carlson Financial, Southern Tier Pediatrics, JT Deck Restoration and Landscape LLC, Francesca’s, Bliss Hill Photography, and The Fairmount Salon and Day Spa.

All proceeds from the Butterfly Art and Charity Auction support CHPC, the new Star Hospice House, and help deliver the specialized care our families, friends, and neighbors deserve. Those who cannot attend the auction are welcome to give a gift at CHPC.care/donate.
