On Saturday May 28, 2016 at 10am the Lake Erie New York Chapter 4 Blue Star Mothers will be hosting the 4th Annual Gold Star Memorial at the Jamestown Veteran’s Park on Third and Logan Streets. This is a very special memorial service for all in attendance to experience the reverent remembrance and deep honor that this day holds for our Gold Star Heroes, their family and friends.
During the time of 1985 to present, during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, our country lost twelve young men who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country…and our county. Gold Star families and friends are in attendance to remember and honor their loved ones by releasing a balloon as the name of their hero is called. Local officials will be present to share a few words with the Gold Star families, please join the Blue Star Mothers in honoring those local heroes who laid down their lives for our freedoms.
