SWCS art show runs March 2-28 at Lakewood Library

In observation of National Youth Art Month, the Southwestern Central School District is holding its annual K-12 Art Show at the Lakewood Memorial Library, 12 Summit St., Lakewood, from Saturday, March 2 through Thursday, March 28, 2019. An opening reception is planned Tuesday, March 5, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and community is invited for punch and cookies.

Artwork by Southwestern Central School District students – including this watercolor and sharpie piece by eighth-grader Samuel Mincarelli – are on display at a local library from March 2-March 28. The public is invited to the opening reception March 5.

Numerous works in a variety of mediums by students in Elementary School through High School will be on display. Participating teachers are: Jenny Brown, Renee Mitchener, Mark Kirsch and Amanda Laurin.


Lakewood Memorial Library is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
