Members of Southwestern Central School’s Student Council recently chose United Way of Southern Chautauqua County as their agency of choice to give a $500 donation. Every dollar from every homecoming dance ticket sold and donations during Spirit week, have generated this significant student gift.

“We are so honored and grateful for the support of Southwestern Schools in general, and when the students truly understand and value the impact of the work we do, it’s inspiring,” said Amy Rohler, United Way of Southern Chautauqua County Executive Director. Smiling, she added, “one aspect of our campaign theme for this year is encouraging people to be faces of change. Clearly these young people are just that.”
Southwestern Central School collectively has generated more than $3,500 in donations this year to be invested back into the community. One hundred percent of all donations stays here in Southern Chautauqua County. If you would like to donate, you can make checks payable to United Way of Southern Chautauqua County and mail it to 208 Pine Street, Jamestown, NY 14701 or visit our website at www.uwayscc.org and click on the donate button.
