Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care invites area residents to remember their loved ones this holiday season through its annual ‘Light A Life’ program. The Light A Life program includes special ways to memorialize loved ones who have passed including a Service of Remembrance and memorial ornaments.

Keepsake porcelain ornaments are available for purchase for $25 and $50 at CHPC offices or online at www.CHPC.care. In addition to supporting the mission of Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative care, the ornaments make tasteful memorial gifts for friends or family members. Individuals memorialized with the purchase of the ornaments will also be remembered in the Service of Remembrance on 11/25 and on the Memorial Light Towers that are displayed at the CHPC offices through the holiday season.

A loved one can also be memorialized with a reflective star on the CHPC Christmas trees for a suggested donation of $10. The loved one will be memorialized on the Service of Remembrance program and Light Towers as well.

Ornament and reflective star orders can be reserved on line at www.CHPC.care or at CHPC offices at 20 W. Fairmount Ave in Lakewood. Ornaments can be purchased up until Christmas. Orders must be received by 11/15 to be included in the Service of Remembrance and Memorial Light Towers.

Information about the Tree Lighting, Service of Remembrance and Memorial Light Towers can be found on the CHPC website.

“We recognize that the holidays can be a most difficult time of year for some families.” said Jamie Probst, Bereavement Coordinator for CHPC. “It is our hope that the Service of Remembrance and ornaments can serve as a source of strength at a time of year when many people struggle from the loss of a loved one.”
