The 5th Annual Mel Perks Memorial Motorcycle Run, sponsored by The Vegas in Kennedy, NY, raised $5,485 bringing the 5-year event total to $42,254.

New owners of The Vegas, Chris & Rick Rolls, continued this fundraiser which memorializes Mel Perks, a US Army Veteran and local businessman who died in 2012. The new hosts collaborated this year with Bikers of America Supporting our Heroes, also known as B.A.S.H., a non-profit group that supports military veterans, their families, and veteran organizations. The Rolls’ offered their gratitude for the numerous contributions from local individuals and businesses who donated items and services for the auctions and raffles, as well as the hands-on assistance of the many volunteers on the day of the rally for the events success. CHPC CEO, Shauna Anderson thanked everyone involved in the fundraiser for their continued support.
