Frozen princesses, superheroes and cartoon characters filled the Love Elementary School gymnasium during the school’s annual Pajama Party. Students proudly wore their new pajamas given to them by Love Elementary School staff. Every child in the school receives a new pair of pajamas right before the holiday break.
“We have been doing this for 12 to 13 years and this year collected over 400 pajamas,” said Love Elementary School teacher Roslyn Sisley-Kazelunas who spearheads the project every year. “We love doing this for each child because it gives them a great feeling and it makes them feel special for the day. We will start collecting again for next year right away. I have to thank all of our staff members who help on this project and work together to make this happen each year.”
Love School appreciates the community’s support for this special day. Love teachers ask family and friends for donations. The Inter-Club Council, which consists of 15 women’s groups from around the area donate each year. Other sponsors this year included: Delta Kappa Gamma, Moonlight Electric, Lakewood Kiwanis, Jamestown Kiwanis, Allen Park Women’s Club, Southern Tier Legal Secretaries and Jamestown Teachers Association. Love Elementary School also had many individuals who donate. If you are interested in donating pajamas for next year, please contact Love Elementary School at 483-4405.
