The Living Christmas Tree

Ushering in the Christmas season the first weekend in December will be the 33rd annual performances of the Living Christmas Tree at First Covenant Church in Jamestown. This year the 65 voice choir, youth choir, orchestra, and pageantry will present “I Have Seen the Light” by Deborah Craig-Claar. The Christmas story will be told through this festival of Christmas music which is performed in a 30 foot high wooden structure constructed in the sanctuary at First Covenant. The community choir is directed by Brian Bogey with accompaniment by John Ireland. Nearly 150 volunteers gather annually to present this musical gift to the community.

The performances are Friday, December 1 at 8 pm, Saturday, December 2 at 5 and 8 pm, and Sunday, December 3 at 5 pm. Tickets are $7 and may be purchased at: Ecklof’s Bakery, Farm Fresh Foods, Lakewood Apothecary, Falconer Pharmacy, Peterson Farms, and Quilter’s Haven. Online tickets are available at for $8. After November 29, tickets will only be available at the church located at 520 Spring Street in Jamestown.
