Jamestown Coin Club
Do you have some old coins and wonder if they have any value?
You could find out at the Jamestown Coin Club’s Fall Coin Show on Sunday, September 10, 2017.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Celoron American Legion – Herman Kent Post 777 on Jackson Avenue, just off Fairmount Avenue in West Ellicott.
Twenty-four coin dealers from Buffalo, northwest Pennsylvania, and Jamestown will be buying, selling, and offering free appraisals of U.S., ancient, and foreign coins. Coin supplies will be available for purchase.
Admission is free. In addition to raffle prizes, door prizes will be given away hourly.
Except for December, the Jamestown Coin Club meets regularly on the fourth Tuesday of the month at the Erie 2 BOCES Center on Route 394 in Ashville. Doors open at 6 p.m. and meetings begin at 7 p.m.
These monthly get-togethers include door prizes and raffles and are highlighted by an auction of coins submitted by members. Annual membership is $9. Guests are welcome to participate at no charge. March, August, and November meetings are junior guest nights.
In March the Jamestown Coin Club sponsors the PenNY Coin Show in conjunction with the Corry (Pennsylvania) Coin Club, also at the Celoron Legion.
