You Are Invited to Audubon’s Family Volunteer Day, Saturday Morning, December 2

Children ages 2 to 15 and their favorite adult(s) are invited to give back during the holiday season at Audubon Community Nature Center’s Family Volunteer Day. Participants can choose from a variety of tasks on Saturday morning, December 2.

Audubon Community Nature Center has an opportunity for you and the children in your life to give back to the community during the holiday season.

From 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, children ages 2-15 and their favorite adult(s) are invited to Family Volunteer Day.

Volunteers can choose from a variety of different jobs around Audubon. Each task supports the animals or visitors to Audubon throughout the year.

Projects may include creating milkweed seed packets, assembling nest box kits, decorating Wild 5K give-away bags, and more. Most jobs will be inside but there may be some outside if the weather permits.

Snacks are provided.

The Nature Center’s new year-round hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sundays.

Audubon Community Nature Center is located at 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Route 62 between Jamestown, N.Y., and Warren, Pa. Its three-story building contains interactive displays, a collection of live animals, and the Blue Heron Gift Shop. One of the most visited exhibits is Liberty, a non-releasable bald eagle housed in her outdoor habitat behind the Nature Center.
