Infinity Visual and Performing Arts welcomes two new instructors! Patrick Becker (Voice) and Sheridan Smith (Awareness Theater).
Patrick Philip Becker, Tenor, is an alumnus from Mercyhurst University. He recently performed Monastatos in Die Zauberflöte and Pedrillo in “Die Entführung Aus Dem Serail” with the D’Angelo Opera Theater as well as Cosmic Ray in Thompson Street Opera Company’s production of “Cosmic Ray And The Amazing Chris.”
In past seasons, he was a young artist with Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre as the cover for Don Ottavio in “Don Giovanni.”
Other roles he has performed are Nanki-Poo in the “Mikado” and Raoul de St. Brioche in “Die Lustige Witwe”, both with Loudoun Lyric Opera. While in the DC metropolitan area, he performed as the Defendant in “Trial By Jury”. Locally, he has been seen as Normanno in “Lucia Di Lammermoor” and Dr. Blind in “Die Fledermaus” with Erie Opera Theatre. He is also a member of the professional chorus of the Pittsburgh Opera.
In the concert arena, he has sung as the Tenor Soloist in “Carmina Burana” and the Bach “Magnificat”, with the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh and Masterworks Concert Chorale respectively.
Awareness Theater Instructor
Sheridan A. Smith was born in Jamestown, NY. He was involved in theatre from a young age when his mother was involved in the youth program Theatre of Young Artists. He later on went to perform and work in shows at the Lucille Ball Little Theatre and at Jamestown Community College. After going to SUNY Buffalo and graduating with his bachelor of arts in philosophy, he started to experiment with film and documentary work. He decided to make this his occupation after making Recover Jamestown on the opioid epidemic focusing on Jamestown as a case study.
