Historical Music Program in Ellington

Mark Jones is a classical musician who has played with the Buffalo &Erie Philharmonic Orchestras, the New Sousa Band, and many other groups. He is a collector of antique musical instruments and ephemera, with an emphasis on Civil War items with a Western New York connection. He is a member of the Buffalo Civil War RoundTable and is the President of the Hamburg Antique Studies Group. Mark will be visiting Ellington Farman Library with a presentation on Civil War Military Bands and Bandsmen on Tuesday January 15th at 7pm. Music played a very important role on both sides of the Civil War conflict. If you’re interested in history or music then you will find this combination program fascinating.
