The First Lutheran Choir and soloists under the direction of Brian A. Bogey, Minister of Music and Organist, will perform George Frederick Handel’s Messiah on Sunday, December 10th at the 11 a.m. worship service. Handel’s famous oratorio was composed in 1741 in a period of 23 days. This is astounding, considering that there are 251 pages included in the massive choral work. The choir will sing the first part of the oratorio which is the Christmas portion dealing with the birth of Christ.

Vocal soloists will include Julie Costantini, soprano; Marika Koch, soprano; and Peter Larson, baritone. Julie Livengood will play a piano solo during the offertory. The public is welcome to attend.
