Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Chautauqua County will hold its annual Father’s Day Axe Throwing Fundraiser at Axcellent Adventures at Panama Rocks Scenic Park. Join CASA for an “Axcellent” day celebrating dads while axe-throwing for a great cause. The event will be held on Sunday, June 16 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Registration is $20 per person for a one-hour time slot. Reservations are encouraged. Participants must be 11 years of age however all are invited to attend! Refreshments will be available for purchase at the event.
Axcellent Adventures at Panama Rocks is an epic outdoor axe-throwing arena which made its debut in 2018. Prior experience is not necessary as the axe throwing coaches (Axperts) will teach attendees how to safely throw an axe. You can start axe throwing in just minutes.
All proceeds from this event will benefit CASA of Chautauqua County Inc. Since inception in 2002, CASA Volunteers have advocated for the needs of 407 abused or neglected children. Last year alone 27 CASA Volunteers advocated, before a judge, for 62 children, proving that the CASA program is crucial in the lives and wellbeing of the most vulnerable children in our community.

The mission of the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Chautauqua County is to provide an independent voice in court, advocating for the best interest of abused and neglected children in the pursuit of finding safe and permanent homes. CASA of Chautauqua County, Inc. relies on highly trained volunteers who are appointed by the Chautauqua County Family Court judge to advocate for children in court. These volunteers work with relevant agencies and parties in order to advocate for the best interest of the child. With the information provided by the CASA volunteer, family court judges are better able to make informed decisions as to what is best for the child, choosing options such as returning to their parents, foster care, or adoption.
