Tickets for several upcoming concerts at the Reg Lenna Center for The Arts will go on sale to the general public on Friday August 8 at 10 am.
Homegrown and internationally known band, 10,000 Maniacs, will perform a 10th Anniversary concert for WRFA on September 13 at 8 p.m. The Maniacs are returning to Jamestown for a rare local performance to celebrate 10 years of community radio for the arts broadcast by WRFA LP 107.9FM. The concert will be the culmination of a day long celebration which includes live-video-streamed radio programs and a live performance of Rolling Hills Radio with Ken Hardley (5 p.m. in the Studio Theater). WRFA is a program of Reg Lenna Center for The Arts.
Tickets for 10,000 Maniacs are $10 for most seats and $25 for limited premium seats. Two V.I.P. packages are also available which include seats to the performance and two receptions (pre and post show)featuring local food, beverages and a meet and greet with the Maniacs.
Tickets also go on sale for the first two shows in the Southern Tier Brewing Company LIVE Concert Series. Dark Star Orchestra returns to The Reg on Friday November 14 at 7 p.m. The closest band of musicians to the Grateful Dead experience continues a long strange trip by recreating a set list of one of the Dead’s original concerts. Spring of 2015 will awaken with the electronic funk of the New Orleans-based band, Galactic on March 21 at 7 p.m. A collective of musicians featuring a rotating line-up of guest singers, Galactic plays original music, throwing in a few reworked classics for an unforgettable night of dance, good vibes and a little Mardi Gras atmosphere. Tickets to both LIVE shows are $35 general admission.
On August 15, single tickets for Rolling Hills Radio with Ken Hardley will go on sale. The monthly live-music show is recorded before a live audience at the Studio Theater (adjacent to The Reg). Singers, songwriters and touring bands join host Ken Hardley for an evening of original folk, blues, Americana and more. The upcoming season includes two shows performed ON the stage at the Reg Lenna Center for The Arts’ theater. The first, on November 20, features Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s Jon McEuen.
Tickets for The Reg Presents series are on sale now. The first concert, Harry Chapin: A Family Celebration (October 3), features the late singer’s family and former bandmates as they perform his most memorable and touching songs. Video-taped recollection of Chapin’s 1981 concert and its impact on the renovation of the theater will be part of the concert. The series also includes circus antics of the family-friendly show, Cirk La Putyka’s Slapstick Sonata (November 11), latin dance in Soul Of Flamenco (February 24), Irish musicians Caladh Nua (March 8) and an improvised musical comedy, Broadway’s Next H!t Musical (April 25).
