JAMESTOWN – Chautauqua County joined the United Way Campaign as Pacesetters for 2012. Last year, these employees pledged more than $22,000 to programs serving children, families, and senior citizens living across the county. Activities are planned to reach employees working in all departments and locations in late August and early September.
“We are very excited to have Chautauqua County employees join the Pacesetter portion of our campaign,” said Bill Tucker, Public Service Team Co-Chair. “As one of the largest employers, they are positioned to really help get things off on the right foot.”
“Our focus this year is helping all co-workers recognize how they can play an essential role with our United Way partners,” said Greg Edwards, County Executive. “People will notice that our approach is much different this year as we try to energize our whole team.”
David Fagerstrom, President of CSEA Local 807 Unit 6300 said, “Our members are always very generous when it comes to United Way and we’re happy to lend our support to this worthy effort.”
