Getting together for good food and good company is part of what makes the holidays special for many people. You are invited to contribute your favorite dish to a potluck luncheon with Audubon Community Nature Center staff and volunteers on Thursday, December 19.

At this time of year there is joy in gathering to share favorite holiday dishes and enjoy one another’s company.

Members and friends are invited to gather with the Audubon Community Nature Center staff and volunteers for a festive potluck luncheon on Thursday, December 19.

Bring a dish to share and your own table service. Coffee and tea will be provided.

After the festivities, plan to visit the Blue Heron Gift Shop where you are sure to find just the right items for stocking stuffers, hostess gifts, or that hard to buy for person on your holiday shopping list.

Reservations for the luncheon are appreciated and can be made through the Programs page at AudubonCNC.org or by calling (716) 569-2345. Walk-ins are welcome.

Audubon Community Nature Center is located at 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Route 62 between Jamestown, N.Y., and Warren, Pa. The 600-acre wetland preserve with its more than five miles of trails for hiking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing, and Liberty, the non-releasable Bald Eagle, can be visited from dawn until dusk daily.

The three-story Nature Center contains interactive displays, a collection of live animals, and the Blue Heron Gift Shop, with great holiday gifts. Building hours are Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Sundays 1-4 p.m. The building will be closed December 24 and 25 and January 1.
